Nathan, Park Manager: Nathan Persons is a veteran operations and property-management executive whose 20+ year career blends facility stewardship, logistics mastery, regulatory compliance, and sustainability leadership across nonprofit and industrial sectors. As Director of Operations for St. Vincent de Paul Society, The Rock Coalition, and related nonprofit entities, Nathan has managed extensive facility portfolios and multi-site service operations—overseeing maintenance programs, grounds and building systems, fleet and equipment management, vendor contracting, procurement, and the execution of SOPs that ensure consistent service delivery and safety.
Nathan’s operational remit has included end-to-end property and facility responsibilities: preventive and reactive maintenance planning, capital project coordination, vendor and contractor management, site security and access controls, and budget/P&L oversight for facility-related expenditures. He has led logistics programs for food supply, home delivery, and large-scale material handling while ensuring compliance with TEFAP and other program-specific regulations. His leadership of multi-location safety committees and incident response teams reflects deep commitment to EH&S standards; certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, 40-Hour HAZWOPER, Incident/Accident Commander, and crisis/disaster response underpin his approach.
A pragmatic proponent of Lean methodology and data-driven management, Nathan applied Six Sigma Green Belt principles to reduce waste, streamline workflows, and capture measurable savings—millions of dollars in cost savings—and he drove a sustainability transformation that increased organizational recycling from 0% to 99%, generating environmental and financial benefits. Nathan has managed high-volume, multi-state/country projects and coordinated international cross-border operations, demonstrating capacity to scale property-management practices across complex operational footprints.
Nathan excels in building and mentoring high-performing facility teams, developing training programs (including forklift operation and safety training), and strengthening vendor partnerships to secure service quality and cost control. He leverages analytics tools such as Salesforce and Power BI to monitor KPIs, forecast maintenance needs, and justify capital investments. His technical foundation is supported by an Associate Degree in Public Safety from Ivy Tech Community College and a broad suite of professional certifications (ServeSafe, CPR/First Aid/AED trainer, Mental Health First Aid, Situational Leadership I & II, and more).
Known for a hands-on leadership style that balances strategic planning with operational execution, Nathan consistently aligns property-management strategy with organizational objectives—improving service quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, controlling costs, and advancing sustainability. He is adept at managing vendor relationships, governing multi-site budgets, and implementing continuous-improvement programs that produce durable operational gains and support mission delivery.
